Job Opportunity

CTA Architects P.C. is seeking a skilled Architectural Technical Field Representative to join our team. As a key member of our construction administration team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of a new 50,000 square foot school addition in the Bronx, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day onsite management of the construction project, including observing progress and quality of work, responding to contractor RFIs, and maintaining records of the construction site and its activities.
  • Act as point person for communication between SCA, contractors, consultants, vendors, and in-house team members.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Manage and coordinate project submittals amongst project team members.
  • Research products and materials, and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop technical details as necessary to assist contractor inquiries during the construction process.
  • Work with contractors to resolve issues encountered during the construction process.

Requirements:

  • B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with experience with the SCA strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to effectively communicate with all members of the project team.
  • Proficiency in computer drafting and MS Office skills, with experience with Vectorworks, Revit, and Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCA procedures, standards, and project management software (Kahua) is preferred.
