The Senior Auditor for Multi-Employer Benefits will operate from our offices. You will collaborate with a cohesive team of experienced, respected CPAs and industry experts. In this capacity, you will take a leading role in all facets of audit engagements, from initial planning to final completion, including the supervision and mentoring of staff and the cultivation of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engagement team in the planning and execution of audit, review, or compilation engagements to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Oversee daily operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and final conclusions.
  • Provide guidance and support to engagement staff, fostering open communication with the engagement manager and partner.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to resolve client issues and recommend solutions for any legal, regulatory, and accounting challenges that arise during audits.
  • Review all scheduled and unscheduled general ledger accounts for accuracy.
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements with various teams to meet client deadlines efficiently.
  • Create and monitor engagement budgets to identify and address inefficiencies during audits.
  • Engage in constructive discussions with team members regarding their evaluations and provide appropriate guidance.
  • Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification or eligibility.
  • A minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience, including leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with familiarity in US GAAP due to the complexity of engagements in this sector.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm effectively to clients.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail and proven innovative problem-solving capabilities.
