About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Inspection Specialist to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect a variety of parts using measuring/inspection instruments, such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers, with proper inspection techniques.
  • Read, interpret, and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection, and 1st article approval of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.
  • Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks and verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies, and complete unit shakedowns (when required) to check for foreign objects, rattles, and loose internal hardware.
  • Be responsible for First Article Inspections and complete related documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and conduct Preliminary Material Reviews (PMR) as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate inspection and testing.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 8 years of relevant experience is typically required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) as defined here.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with First Article Inspection, Aerospace and Defense, Discus, Net Inspect, GD&T, mechanical inspection, visual inspection.
  • ZEISS CMM Programming experience is a plus.
