We are looking for an accomplished and knowledgeable Survey CAD Team Leader who is adept in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads. This pivotal role involves guiding our proactive surveying team, ensuring the production of precise and comprehensive survey maps, surfaces, and boundary evaluations while supervising junior drafters and guaranteeing that project outputs align with the highest industry standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee DTM surfaces for contour plans utilizing raw data files.
  • Prepare ALTA surveys, boundary evaluations, right-of-way maps, and property analysis documents.
  • Create precise and detailed survey maps and plans, ensuring the correct orientation of triangles and surface interpretation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior drafters within the base mapping team, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control of deliverables to confirm accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Manage and coordinate survey initiatives, providing leadership and technical direction to the drafting team.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
  • Work remotely while maintaining effective communication and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and manage a team of drafters and junior technicians.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in generating survey maps and surfaces.
  • Expertise in developing DTM surfaces and performing thorough boundary evaluations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to train and guide junior staff.
  • Familiarity with DOT standards (PennDOT and NJDOT) and transportation survey work (train, trolley, tunnel).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely when necessary.
  • Outstanding communication and project management abilities.
