Job Title: Food Runner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at Blue Rock Bar & Grill in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assure that all material used by servers is clean and ready for daily operation.
  2. Possess knowledge of the position of each diner's chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
  3. Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and any other items needed for the delivering of food.
  4. Organize the plates in the window and match each one with each ticket to run the food out to the tables.
  5. Set tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
  6. Ensure that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticket.
  7. Correct the menu item with the chef before delivering the menu item if it is not meeting the exact specification on the ticket.
  8. Fills and re-fills water glasses and removes any place settings not being used.
  9. Clears dishes located in front of guest upon completion of course.
  10. Clears and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to: changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins.
  11. Assists the server when needed.
  12. Keeps work stations well stocked of items and ingredients.
  13. Clean workstations, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining room.
  14. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  15. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • One month related experience or training.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, cleanliness, and neatness.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.
