Job Title: District Driver

Join our team as a District Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school and other activities.

Job Summary:

The District Driver will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and other activities using a District vehicle. This is a part-time position with a 183-day work calendar, requiring a flexible schedule and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport students to and from school and other activities using a District vehicle.
  • Supervise student conduct and maintain safety at all times.
  • Follow established directions for breakdowns and emergencies.
  • React professionally in the event of an emergency to ensure student safety.
  • Maintain accurate written records as required.
  • Maintain a clean District vehicle.
  • Report any unusual noises or conditions of the vehicle to maintenance staff.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
  • Exemplary driving record with a 39-month driving record from the Motor Vehicle Department.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • Ability to operate District vehicle and equipment.
  • First Aid certification and CPR training.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related experience and/or training.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with students, parents, and staff. The ability to work independently and make sound judgments in emergency situations is essential.
