Job Summary:

Littleton Elementary District is seeking a qualified Bus Driver to transport students safely and efficiently to and from school and special events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to student safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a school bus on assigned routes to and from school and special events
• Provide safe and secure transportation service to students
• Monitor students and maintain good student conduct in the passenger compartment
• Enforce District policies and rules of conduct, and report behavior issues and other concerns to supervisor or Principal
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure the bus is operating correctly
• Identify and report vehicle problems requiring additional maintenance and repair
• Clean the bus interior, sweep the floors, and clean windows and seats
• Document pre-trip inspections and ensure all required written reports are completed and submitted on a daily basis
• Assist students with safety belts and getting on and off the bus safely

Requirements:

• Valid State of Arizona Commercial Driver's License with School Bus (S) endorsement
• First Aid and CPR certifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Experience operating any type of passenger transport vehicle is preferred
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation

Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug and alcohol testing according to District policy. The work environment is a transit vehicle in a traffic environment with moderate physical requirements.
