About the Role:

This position will assist college personnel, students, schools, and community agencies in identifying opportunities for student recruitment, retention, collaboration, and supporting resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of student services functions such as recruitment, admissions, general advisement, orientation, and registration for new and continuing students.
  • Provide assistance in related student services processes including admissions, financial aid, campus tours, recruitment, and retention activities.
  • Represent the college in various recruitment, early college, and retention activities and events, including travel to local high schools, community, and other outreach-related events.
  • Track and follow up with multiple cohorts.
  • Prepare and deliver group information sessions to new and prospective students and parents.
  • Facilitate services to include recruitment, admissions, placement testing, financial aid application, academic advisement, registration, community education, and referrals to related services.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
  • OR High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with students in a high school or college/university setting.
  • Experience developing and delivering group presentations.
  • Experience working with under-represented and/or at-risk populations.
  • Experience coordinating and planning recruitment/enrollment events.
  • Experience with online student records systems such as Peoplesoft and Customer Relationship Management tools.
