Job Title: Accounting Manager

The YMCA of Midland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounting and financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure that financial information is accurately reflected in department budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
