Minnesota Public Sector Sales Strategist

Drive Growth in Minnesota's Public Sector
We are seeking a highly driven Field Sales Executive to join our team in Minnesota. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving conversion of 1 million new revenue from new customers while building programs to orchestrate sales growth in our public sector (SLED) and commercial market.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in field sales, with experience in the public sector market. They will be responsible for:
- Buiding territory penetration strategy, continuously analyzing individual performance and shifting strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Qualifying prospects, from internal and external leads, based on customer size, spend, and potential while routing opportunities to fellow sales team members based on sales qualifiers.
- Scheduling appointments and meeting with prospective customers in person to present Quill values and solutions.
- Utilizing marketing collateral to build engaging, meaningful presentations to drive prospect engagement and conversion.
- Attending conferences, tradeshows, and events representing Quill and winning new customers.
- Creating and presenting custom pricing solutions to potential high growth commercial customers.
- Leveraging education contracts, including Cooperative Purchasing partnerships and Bids, to acquire new education customers or drive growth for existing.
- Ensuring smooth transition to the account management team upon customer commitment.
- Meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in CRM at all times, including activity logs and pipeline.
- Seeking ways to constantly improve, absorbing and applying manager and peer-led coaching.
- Making a highly positive impact on culture and team - working well others, sharing learnings, building trust, and leading by example.
- Working closely with sales leadership and peers to drive revenue beyond traditional office supplies.
- Championing company values and services, in addition to product features and benefits.
- Growing share of wallet by consolidating business from other vendors, creating customized pricing programs, and developing a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and their affiliated sites.

- A strong background in field sales, with experience in the public sector market.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills to strategize, grow, and close growth-based opportunities.
- Adaptability to change and a strong ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to think dynamically and remain calm under pressure.
- A customer-first attitude and a desire to positively impact the environment and coworkers.
- A willingness to learn and improve, absorbing and applying manager and peer-led coaching.
