Responsibilities


•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, ensuring that teams have the necessary resources and direction to deliver products effectively.

•Develop and allocate requirements, ensuring compliance with internal processes and standards.

•Create block diagrams for various design concepts and system topologies.

•Perform preliminary and detailed analyses or simulations to ensure design feasibility and effectiveness.

•Ensure overall compliance with internal processes, including NPI, Standard Work, and Design Reviews.

•Meet or exceed DFx, Design-To-Cost, and Design-To-Weight targets.

•Support internal and external customer meetings and provide design assurance and qualification testing.

•Support the transition of programs from development to production.

Qualifications

Background

•MSEE with coursework in power electronics, motors, and motor drive technology.

•At least 4 years of relevant aerospace-avionics design experience preferred.

•At least 2 years of direct experience in power electronics and control system design.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience

•High power AC design and development, including 3-PH and variable frequency input systems.

•High power DC input motor drive design and development.

•High power boost converter design and development.

•High voltage DC inverter design and development.

•Power system design, including power system noise, system simulation, and modeling.

•Power conversion, including AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC systems, linear and switching supplies, and power factor correction.

Technical

•Simulation tools, including LTSpice, SABER, PLEX, System Vision, and MathWorks/Simulink.

•Analysis tools, including Mathcad, MS Excel, Minitab, and Matlab.

•CAD tools, including Mentor Graphics suite: PADS, Hyperlynx, and DxDesigner.

•Documentation tools, including MS Word/PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, and Nuance.

•Requirements and configuration management, including Teamcenter and DOORs.

•H/W programming languages, including Labview, Visual Basic, and eTPU micro-code.

•FPGA/PLD devices, including Actel, Xilinx, and Altera.

•Schedule tracking, including MS Project.
