Automation Systems Specialist

Precipart is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Farmingdale, New York. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing automated systems in various manufacturing and logistics environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automated systems and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Work closely with other departments to create automation plans that align with business goals
- Lead the implementation of automation in revising existing technology to reduce human interaction
- Monitor the performance of implemented automation and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate and monitor engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, and quality standards
- Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements
- Perform quality control of work and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members
- Communicate effectively with project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic Engineering or related field, plus 5+ years of experience
- Or, 10+ years of work experience in a related engineering environment
- Certified project manager
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Proficient problem-solving skills
- Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Time management and organizational skills
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills
- Experience programming 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC Mills, multi-axis Turning machines, and Swiss style turning machines
- Familiarity with Mastercam and SolidWorks (CAD/CAM software)
