Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Judicial Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support services to the court, including processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of financial transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and account reconciliations.
  • Interpret and apply complex financial rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with court policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of processing accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness, ensuring that financial transactions are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service to judges, court managers, staff, and the general public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.
  • Undergo a background check and a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI).
Qualifications
  • Specialized experience in financial management and administration, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Progressively responsible experience in at least one but preferably two or more of the functions areas of financial management and administration, including financial analysis, financial planning, and financial operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Legal, accounting, or financial experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and the general public.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
