Position Overview:

The Senior Human Resources Specialist will support the HR Manager in collaborating with specific functional sectors of the organization, including operations and manufacturing. This role involves working closely with management to design, develop, and execute staffing strategies to efficiently fill vacancies. The Specialist will lead performance management initiatives and provide employee relations support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all recruitment and onboarding processes for designated functional groups, including vendor management.
  • Manage job boards and specialized databases.
  • Support performance management and compensation programs.
  • Offer daily performance management guidance to management, including coaching, career development, and corrective feedback.
  • Consult with management on employee relations matters.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to enhance work relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to management and staff.
  • Maintain employee data through the HRIS system, including data entry.
  • Address employee benefits inquiries and serve as the subject matter expert for their functional group.
  • Partner with payroll to resolve employee issues and inquiries as they arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources; experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in utilizing an HRIS system.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various human resource disciplines, including organizational development, performance management, recruitment, and federal and state employment regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven capability to work independently, focusing on project completion while demonstrating strategic thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
