Forensic Counselor Job Description

Endeavor Health Services is seeking a skilled Forensic Counselor to join our team of dynamic, supportive, and passionate counselors. Our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) offers a comprehensive range of services, including mental health, substance use, domestic violence, anger management, and sexual abuse prevention programs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Forensic Counselor to provide individual, group, and family therapy to individuals involved in the criminal justice system. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in a mental health or social work-related field and be eligible for licensure within 18 months of hire. Experience working with high-risk populations and knowledge of evidence-based practices are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing a range of evidence-based practices and curriculum.
  • Assess risk and needs for individuals seeking treatment utilizing a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop strength-based treatment plans.
  • Utilize forensic-based assessment tools, such as Static-99R, Stable-2007, and Acute-2007.
  • Manage an integrated caseload of individuals pursuing forensic, mental health, and substance use goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and communicate effectively with referral sources.
  • Conduct discharge planning and make follow-up contacts as necessary.
  • Provide linkages to other supportive services as identified.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of individual records with an emphasis on concurrent documentation.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a mental health or social work-related field.
  • Eligibility for licensure within 18 months of hire.
  • Experience working with high-risk populations and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
Benefits

Endeavor Health Services offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and credentials.
