At-Will Employment:

Summary of Functions

Responsible for the thorough cleaning of guest rooms and suites in accordance with Northern Quest Resort and Casino policies and procedures. Ensures that all guest needs are addressed in a friendly and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians' Internal Controls and Northern Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Cleans hotel guest rooms and suites, adhering to four-star/four-diamond hotel service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Handles equipment and supplies issued for cleaning activities with care.
  • Reports all damages, missing items, non-functional items, and items found in guest rooms and suites immediately.
  • Responsible for daily issued passkey, ensuring it is secured at all times.
  • Keeps work cart organized, clean, and dry.
  • Utilizes only cleaning agents and products provided by the housekeeping department.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor and appearance at all times, ensuring special requests from guests are managed effectively.
  • Collaborates with other Team Members to uphold the highest service standards.
  • Employs proper interpersonal skills when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Shares information with other departments to facilitate their successful performance.
  • Adheres to hotel safety and Loss Control Procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of all hotel emergency procedures.
  • Ensures guest confidentiality standards are upheld.
  • Maintains a consistent attendance record.
  • Responsible for the protection of company assets.
  • May be required to serve as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings.
  • This job description does not encompass all duties of this position. Management may assign additional responsibilities as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Experience

  • Three to six months of experience and/or training preferred.
  • Experience in a four-star/four-diamond hotel is advantageous but not required. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Skills

  • Must possess computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and employees.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.
  • Hepatitis A & B vaccinations.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing over 100 pounds.
  • Requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, fingers, shoulders, and back.
  • Requires walking and/or standing for extended periods.
  • Requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Requires stooping, crouching, and/or kneeling, which involves the use of lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Requires working in damp, dusty, and dirty areas.
  • Must clean up human biohazard and/or bodily fluids as required.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
