Position Summary
The Salesforce Solutions Owner will collaborate closely with stakeholders, partners, the CRM team, and IT to spearhead the development and delivery of high-caliber products that align with user requirements and business goals, contributing to the company's overarching vision. This role involves articulating the product objectives, managing the backlog items, and prioritizing tasks to optimize business value while overseeing the enterprise digital roadmap to introduce new features and experiences that enhance customer satisfaction, user experience, and revenue growth. The Solutions Owner will balance business priorities with technical feasibility by translating business needs into actionable technical solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize feature enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the enterprise digital product roadmap, acting as the liaison between the business, CRM development team, and IT for product development on significant projects and/or workstreams using Agile methodologies. Drive the product development from the discovery phase through to user release, optimizing it at each stage.
- Provide consistent reporting and updates to executive leadership regarding product scope, timelines, and planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the sprint backlog for the product portfolio across the organization.
- Lead the collection of business requirements to formulate user stories that correspond to the features, ensuring the sprint backlog remains prioritized and well-stocked.
- Oversee the creation of user stories from prioritized features, establish acceptance criteria for user stories, validate each user story during the sprint, and ensure compliance with acceptance criteria while keeping the system updated.
- Work in partnership with project teams and management to address issues. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities. Take ownership of escalated issues, risks, and challenges, proactively working towards resolution. Collaborate with other digital and IT teams on shared roadmaps.
- In conjunction with senior leadership, develop a multi-year vision and annual roadmap informed by customer feedback, corporate strategy, and data. Provide strategic insights and guidance to executive leadership regarding the plan, roadmap, and vision, understanding the product's impact on customer lifetime value.
- Act as a consultant for defining business processes aligned with product portfolio roadmap objectives. Ensure that business processes are established and documented for both current and future delivered features.
- Collaborate with change management, training, and delivery teams to outline customer impact analyses and formulate corresponding plans.
- Partner with leadership to establish product KPIs that measure and drive adoption, satisfaction, and revenue growth.
- Stay informed on Salesforce product updates and quarterly releases to maximize value offerings by leveraging out-of-the-box capabilities against the product roadmap.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, technology, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce, including Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, CRMA, and Service Cloud.
- Salesforce admin certification.
- 5+ years of experience in roles such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, IT, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile and software lifecycle development.
- Strong customer orientation skills, with the ability to prioritize customer needs, communicate effectively, and deliver exceptional service, fostering enduring client relationships.
- Proficient in managing large, complex, and/or multiple projects with tight deadlines and interdependencies, driving alignment and execution across groups in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify opportunities, plan and manage a product portfolio, and oversee sprint backlogs across projects and business units.
- Highly skilled in identifying risks and issues and managing corrective actions.
- 2+ years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
