Evening Registered Nurse

Position Overview:
This role is eligible for:
- Charge Pay: $3.00/hr.
- Shift Differentials: Evenings $1.50/hr.; Nights $2.75/hr.; Weekends 15%/hr.
- Loan Repayment: $2,000/yr. for RNs.

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with the ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, the policies and procedures of Butler Hospital, and the Rhode Island Nurse Practice Act.
The nurse actively participates in treatment planning to coordinate the management of both medical and nursing care, as well as discharge planning for patients.
In the event of psychiatric or medical emergencies, the nurse ensures that individuals in crisis receive appropriate care while maintaining the safety of all other patients.
As a collaborative team member, the nurse assists colleagues and takes on additional responsibilities to fulfill essential patient care and unit duties.
The administration of medications is performed with a thorough understanding of their actions, methods of administration, potential side effects, and contraindications.
The nurse may assume the role of Charge Nurse during their shift.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: A current Rhode Island nursing license is required.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) is preferred.
Work Schedule: Part-time evenings, with a commitment to every other weekend.
