Job Summary: The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with the ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, hospital policies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
The nurse is involved in treatment planning, ensuring coordinated management of medical and nursing care, as well as discharge planning for patients.
In crisis situations, the nurse coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies, ensuring the safety and proper care of all patients.
As an active team member, the nurse assists colleagues and takes on additional responsibilities to fulfill essential patient care and unit duties.
The role includes administering medications with a thorough understanding of their actions, methods of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
The nurse will also assume the responsibilities of Charge Nurse during the shift.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Current nursing license in the state.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N).
Schedule: Part-Time Evenings, with every other weekend commitment.
