Position Overview:
This role offers:
- Charge Pay: $3.00/hr.
- Shift Differentials: Evenings $1.50/hr.; Nights $2.75/hr.; Weekends 15%/hr.
- Loan Repayment: $2,000/year for RNs.

Job Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) for Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, as well as the policies and procedures of Butler Hospital and the Rhode Island Nurse Practice Act.
The nurse actively engages in treatment planning to ensure comprehensive management of both medical and nursing care, as well as the discharge planning process for patients.
In the event of psychiatric or medical emergencies, the nurse coordinates care to ensure the safety of the individual in crisis and the well-being of all other patients.
As a collaborative team member, the nurse assists colleagues and takes on additional responsibilities to fulfill essential patient care and unit obligations.
The administration of medications is performed with a thorough understanding of their actions, methods of delivery, potential side effects, and contraindications.
The nurse may also assume the role of Charge Nurse during their shift.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: A current nursing license in Rhode Island is required.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) is preferred.
Work Schedule: Part-time evening shifts, with a commitment to work every other weekend.
