JOB SUMMARY

The Plant Operator plays a crucial role in the management of a natural gas processing facility, ensuring optimal performance through effective monitoring and operation. This includes overseeing the functionality of the gas plant, product treatment, compression processes, making necessary adjustments, conducting inspections, and performing preventative maintenance.

The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive operations of the facility, utilizing control room management and addressing concerns to enhance plant efficiency. This will involve collaboration with fellow operators and supervisors to maximize production, quality, and operational effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate various equipment and systems within the plant, including gas processing, process controls, pumps, pressure relief systems, dehydrators, and emergency shutdown systems.
  • Optimize processing throughout the facility while adhering to product specifications.
  • Manage plant start-up and shut-down procedures as necessary.
  • Monitor plant operations remotely using electronic surveillance to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Provide direction to Plant Technicians and Mechanics to maintain optimal operational levels.
  • Communicate plant performance metrics and improvement recommendations to management.
  • Maintain acceptable condensate levels within established plant specifications.
  • Engage with stakeholders to set and communicate operational targets.
  • Offer insights and guidance based on comprehensive data analysis and operational performance perspectives.
  • Coordinate responses to abnormal operating conditions and emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Thorough understanding of instrumentation and controls related to natural gas processing.
  • Two to three years of processing experience, including two years as a plant process board operator.
  • Solid grasp of plant principles and operations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with various stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform vigorous outdoor activities and possess manual dexterity for extended hours of work.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, fit test, and background check.
