The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of designated areas to ensure satisfaction among clients, customers, and patients. The specific duties and responsibilities may differ based on the location's requirements and operational needs.



EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Full-Time

WORK SHIFTS: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts (Overnight) - Availability for rotating weekends and holidays is required.

PAY RATE: $17 per hour + Additional Shift and Weekend Compensation

Key Responsibilities

  • Complies with established protocols to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OSHA, state/local, federal, and company regulations.
  • Conducts cleaning and sanitization of patient/resident rooms, which may involve vacuuming, dusting, bed making, and the disposal of general and hazardous waste. Ensures restrooms are cleaned according to infection control standards.
  • Maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment accurately.
  • Performs cleaning tasks to meet company and client standards.
  • Follows proper procedures for trash storage and disposal, transporting waste to designated areas.
  • Reports maintenance issues through work order requests to the appropriate personnel.
  • Exhibits a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude towards clients, patients, and coworkers, adapting to their needs.
  • Secures the facility, ensuring that the building is locked/unlocked as necessary.
  • Protects company assets.
  • Completes additional duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in custodial services is preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to basic safety protocols and procedures.

This position may involve physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
