Position Overview
The Regional Vice President (RVP) is accountable for the strategic oversight of Construction within the Freedom Region, encompassing New Jersey, the Philadelphia suburbs, and Northern Delaware, with a workforce of approximately 2,700 employees. The RVP directs a high-performing team of leaders, construction project managers, and specialists, optimizing performance through the recruitment, training, and motivation of talented leaders and team members in a diverse, people-centric culture. This role includes managing third-party resources, overseeing network capacity, performance, and construction design for the region, and reporting network performance and project status to senior leadership. The RVP also plays a crucial role in formulating and implementing company policies and developing long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and strategize the financial operations of network maintenance and construction teams, including budget creation and ensuring organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to the Regional Senior Vice President on network maintenance and construction planning, decision-making, and the implementation of new technology-based products and services.
- Support recovery efforts during storms and other natural disasters.
- Collaborate with the RVP of Technical Operations to ensure maintenance projects are effectively planned and executed, enhancing the customer experience.
- Work alongside the RVP of Government Affairs to meet service, governmental, and franchise requirements through effective organization and planning of staff and resources.
- Partner with the Business Development team to identify opportunities for new construction projects.
- Coordinate with Finance and Business Operations to manage capital expenditures and ensure internal rate of returns are achieved.
- Develop and implement a long-term engineering strategy in partnership with Division and Corporate Engineering leadership.
- Oversee third-party construction resources.
- Ensure compliance with client service standards, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a customer-centric service culture.
- Proactively identify and address processes affecting network and construction operations.
- Drive transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business outcomes.
- Formulate business strategies focusing on strengths, competitive advantages, and differentiation.
- Utilize broad knowledge to tackle complex and critical issues.
- Establish long-term plans impacting business success.
- Identify profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities.
- Exhibit versatile leadership skills.
- Inspire engineering team leaders to achieve goals and deliver projects promptly.
