Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled engineer to contribute to the advancement of autonomous surgical robotics that leverage image guidance and artificial intelligence. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of healthcare, making it more accessible and of higher quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative hardware and software solutions for robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of clinicians, engineers, and industry experts to enhance robotic technologies.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and optimizations of robotic system performance.
  • Implement safety protocols and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Document technical requirements and testing procedures to facilitate regulatory approvals.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in robotics or a related discipline.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, with a working knowledge of Matlab.
  • Expertise in real-time Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with ROS2/ROS frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of image-guided robotic control systems and algorithms.
  • Experience with control systems for robotic manipulators and automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of robot path planning and trajectory generation techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with computer vision tools, including OpenCV.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years in software development within the robotics sector, with at least 2 years in a regulated medical device environment.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating hardware and software for robotic systems, especially with imaging technologies.
  • Practical knowledge of control and path planning algorithms for robotic systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Self-driven and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear documentation.
