About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Perception and Planning Software Engineer to join our team at Alldus. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge autonomous surgical robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Software: You will design, develop, and test software for robotic systems that utilize AI/ML models, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Optimize Deep Learning Models: You will optimize deep learning models for efficient deployment and inference, leveraging your expertise in AI/ML and computer vision libraries.
  • Configure Computing Hardware: You will design and configure computing hardware to ensure optimal performance of AI/ML models, working closely with our engineering team.
  • Conduct System Performance Analysis: You will conduct system performance analysis and implement improvements, ensuring our robotic systems meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform Risk Assessments: You will perform risk assessments and design safety algorithms, ensuring our systems meet regulatory requirements.
  • Document Requirements and Risks: You will document requirements, risks, and test protocols to support regulatory approvals, including those required by the FDA.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: You will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of industry experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Software Development Experience: You will have 3-5 years of experience in software development for robotic products, preferably with 3+ years in regulated product development or the medical device industry.
  • Technical Skills: You will have strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python, expertise in AI/ML and computer vision libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, and OpenCV, and experience with ROS2/ROS.
  • Additional Qualifications: You will have experience working with real-time Linux systems, familiarity with CUDA programming, and proficiency in software version control systems like Git.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Autonomous Systems: You will have experience in developing autonomous systems, and familiarity with FPGA for AI/ML model implementation is a plus.
