Job Title: Facilities Manager

BronxWorks is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including our family shelters programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and recommend construction and delivery methods for facility projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Oversee facilities contractor/service provider relationships, including solicitation of bids, contract management, and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Process and maintain project documentation, including contracts, certificates of insurance, and other relevant documents.
  • Develop cost-effective project plans and schedules, and monitor project progress to ensure completion within allocated time and budget.
  • Regularly inspect facilities to identify compliance and safety concerns, and develop mitigation plans to address these issues.
  • Implement auditing and enforcing project safety standards and quality assurance controls.
  • Assist in the development of grant proposals, budgets, and reports for program expansion and continuation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Director.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • FDNY F80 certification.
  • Narcan administration.
  • Experience with New York City building and fire codes, and other relevant laws.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Experience with project budgeting and control.
  • Knowledge of electrical panels, HVAC, boilers, fire safety systems, and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology.
  • Understanding of and commitment to BronxWorks' mission, vision, and values.
