About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Management Director to lead our Technology Product Management team at The Cigna Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving innovation, creating value, and inspiring your teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Value Delivery: Own the value delivery of a key discipline within our capabilities/products, ensuring alignment with our business strategy and goals.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage product portfolio intake, coordinating assessment of new project requests, and developing value-added reports for the portfolio.
  • Agile Governance: Establish, implement, and enforce agile portfolio governance processes, ensuring effective prioritization and planning.
  • Escalation Management: Manage escalated intake or prioritization or delivery issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Demand Analysis: Conduct periodical demand analysis and make recommendations for seasonal adjustments, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Epic Refinement: Support epic refinement decomposition and prioritization, ensuring clear and consistent product portfolio prioritization and planning methodology.
  • Process Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce clear and consistent product portfolio prioritization and planning methodology, ensuring effective tracking, measurement, and publication of value and cost management.
  • Business Value: Gather and report on the business value associated with each portfolio request, ensuring alignment with our business strategy and goals.
  • Portfolio Roadmap: Document and socialize overall portfolio roadmap with key milestones, with input from portfolio leads and POs, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strategy Implementation: Translate the strategy into a vision and roadmap for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with our business strategy and goals.
  • PI Planning: Implement and support PI (Product Increment) planning processes, planning preparation, and review of planning outcomes, ensuring effective prioritization and planning.
  • Governance and Reporting: Coordinate portfolio governance, reporting, and oversight with regional portfolio leads as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and improve people, product, and process, ensuring effective alignment and communication.
  • Alignment and Communication: Build alignment across product/capability teams and cross-functional leaders through clear communication and strategic influence, ensuring effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Capability Development: Develop new capabilities or products with enterprise impact, ensuring alignment with our business strategy and goals.
  • Skills Development: Continuously improve skills and competencies by participating in internal and external training opportunities and stretch assignments, ensuring personal and professional growth.

  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead teams of Scrum Master, Project Manager, Technology Product Owner, and Business/Systems Analyst capacities, ensuring effective leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in IT Program Management within a large matrixed organization.
  • Skills: Strong experience in execution of project collaboration and communications, key components of SDLC and PM critical components (scope, time, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk mitigation, integration, etc.).
  • Consulting Experience: Consultative mentality with formal consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Negotiation and Decision-Making: Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Dashboarding and Reporting: Dashboarding and management-level reporting.
  • Healthcare Experience: Healthcare experience.
  • Agile and Waterfall Experience: Waterfall and Agile Experiences.
  • CI/CD Experience: Experience with CI/CD processes and systems.
