Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming customers and building rapport while guiding them through our product offerings.
- Arrive ahead of schedule to prepare the store for opening and ensure all closing procedures are meticulously followed.
- Support the team during peak shopping periods and mentor new staff members to uphold our service standards.
- Utilize your knowledge of our in-house products to provide tailored recommendations to customers.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including managing cash drawers, counting cash, and preparing bank deposits.
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and other electronic devices efficiently.
- Adhere to age verification policies to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate pricing and inventory records while providing customers with receipts.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.

- Monitor the sales floor to deter theft and reduce loss, which includes conducting bag checks and enforcing security protocols.
- Uphold cleanliness standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer restrooms.
- Train new hires on operational procedures, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, or a related field.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including peak hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong mathematical skills and cash handling proficiency.
- Team-oriented approach with a focus on collaboration.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 49 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.


Compensation:

Gopuff offers competitive pay based on market standards, which may vary by location. For positions in Santa Monica, CA, the expected pay rate is USD $19.02 per hour. This salary range reflects our anticipated compensation for candidates, with starting pay determined by relevant skills, experience, and market conditions.
