Position Overview:
The Senior Capital Investment Officer (SCIO) plays a pivotal role in advancing Montezuma Winery LLC's mission to enhance trade and investment between North America and the UK. The UK stands as a premier destination for foreign investment in Europe, bolstered by a robust consumer market and a business-friendly regulatory environment.
Our team of over 150 professionals across North America is united by a vision of fostering open and fair global trade that drives growth, creates quality jobs, and enhances living standards. We seek dedicated individuals who are passionate about promoting British goods and services, driving investment, negotiating trade agreements, and improving international trading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a comprehensive account management service to a designated portfolio of key investors, assisting in the establishment of strategic priorities and identifying new market opportunities.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of knowledge-driven investment opportunities, focusing on scaling the venture capital ecosystem in the UK through limited partner capital distributions.
- Proactively engage with investors whose strategies align with UK government priorities, aiming to increase their asset allocation to the UK.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with major institutional investors in the US, coordinating efforts with colleagues based in the UK.
- Design and implement impactful marketing initiatives and events to enhance brand awareness and promote key messages regarding capital investment and the UK economy.
- Stay informed on market trends within the capital investment sector and relevant industry verticals, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, life sciences, deep technology, and real estate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact programming, including roundtables, seminars, and trade missions, while preparing briefing materials for VIP visits.
- Utilize CRM tools to track investor engagement and manage the progression of investment projects.
- Support cross-team initiatives to advance economic and trade policy objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
