Position Overview
As the Assistant Culinary Manager, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of the Culinary Department for a designated facility.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the oversight, preparation, and cooking of a variety of food items, as well as developing daily menu offerings and their presentation.

You may supervise hourly staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus and assist with procurement. This position is ideal for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Work closely with the Head Chef to oversee food preparation, contribute to menu design, create high-quality dishes [focusing on both aesthetics and flavor], manage kitchen personnel, assist with menu planning, inventory control, and ensure an exceptional customer and client experience.


Essential Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, teamwork, enjoyment of a fast-paced environment, and self-motivation.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and monitoring expenditures for the account.
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and creation.
Execute and manage catering events.
Implement new culinary initiatives in collaboration with the Company marketing and culinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, based on formal education or training.
Catering experience is advantageous.
Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking practices is beneficial.
Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost management, and presentation.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet usage.
Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives.
ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
