We are currently looking for a Lead Tax Strategist with a focus on Business Taxation. This role involves overseeing and directing all facets of business tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in Business tax regulations, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and outstanding communication and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering effective solutions tailored to their accounting and tax requirements.
- Examine tax returns and associated financial documents to ensure precision and adherence to compliance standards for managed projects.
- Formulate and convey review feedback, recommendations, and necessary adjustments to tax preparers in accordance with compliance protocols.
- Devise tax planning initiatives, pinpointing opportunities to reduce tax obligations and enhance financial outcomes for clients.
- Maintain a consultative relationship with clients, serving as the primary contact for their inquiries and concerns.
- Proactively identify and address client needs that align with firm services, fostering trust and credibility.
- Engage with tax authorities to collect information for federal, state, and local tax audits as required.
- Broaden expertise in designated specialties, including industry-specific knowledge and types of tax returns, and serve as a resource for team members.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and industry landscape of clients.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a CPA license.
- 7-10 years of relevant accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in public accounting with a proven track record of managing multiple client engagements in a dynamic environment.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
