Role Responsibilities

The Culinary Specialist will prepare dishes following the precise specifications of the chef and organize stations for the menu items. Responsibilities will include supporting the Executive and Sous Chef with their daily operations. The successful candidate will be integral in achieving our customer satisfaction and retention objectives. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Organizing and stocking workstations with necessary supplies

· Preparing ingredients for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or crafting sauces)

· Cooking menu items collaboratively with the kitchen team

· Following and reporting to the Executive or Sous Chef's directives

· Cleaning the workstation and managing leftover food

· Appropriately managing inventory levels

· Ensuring that food is prepared simultaneously, maintaining high quality and timeliness

· Adhering to nutrition and sanitation guidelines and safety protocols

· Upholding a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues and guests

· Monitoring the freshness of products and rotating stock based on a predetermined schedule

Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in cooking and kitchen management

· High school diploma or GED preferred

· Proven experience in cooking roles, including as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook

· Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

· Ability to execute tasks with accuracy and speed

· Familiarity with industry best practices

· High level of professionalism

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a team

· Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills

· Punctuality is essential

Physical Requirements:

· Must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds regularly

· Ability to stand and work for extended periods, typically eight hours or more

Work Schedule:

This position's schedule will vary based on business needs, typically requiring either daytime or evening shifts, with availability on weekends and holidays being essential.
