Child Evangelism Fellowship Virginia, Central Virginia Chapter, is looking for a dedicated individual with a ministry focus to take on the role of District Team Leader (DTL).


Key Responsibilities:

The District Team Leader (DTL) will oversee the After-School Good News Clubs (GNCs) within the designated District, ensuring both the growth and excellence of these programs. The role is expected to require approximately 20 hours of work each week.


Specific Duties:
  • Promoting Growth:
    Encourage the establishment of new Good News Clubs in local schools, engage with community members to raise awareness of the GNC program, and keep the Director and Good News Club Coordinator informed about significant contacts and public relations opportunities.
  • Ensuring Quality:
    Conduct regular evaluations of clubs to ensure compliance with CEF Policies, focusing on the quality of instruction and student care, including evangelism, discipleship, safety, and enjoyment.
  • Team Oversight:
    Manage GNC Team Leaders and their respective teams, ensuring all participants are listed on the Club Roster with appropriate Child Protection clearances, and that Monthly Statistical Reports are submitted punctually to the chapter office.
  • Communication and Administration:
    Maintain effective communication between clubs, sponsoring churches, and the Chapter Prayer Coordinator, and complete all administrative tasks as required.

Reporting Structure:
Regular meetings with the Local Coordinator/Director will be held, along with the submission of a monthly written DTL Report.

The ideal candidate must agree to and sign CEF's Statement of Faith, demonstrating a balanced approach to Christian living through:

  • Active involvement in the local church
  • A ministry-oriented, humble servant leadership style
