About the Role
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) assists the practice/department in maintaining a customer-focused environment, supports the delivery of high-quality care, and shares a passion for patient-centered care. The PSA is responsible for greeting patients, managing phone calls and inquiries, coordinating appointments, updating insurance information, and performing point-of-service activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Listen carefully and communicate clearly with patients to understand their requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyze problems from the patient's perspective and provide solutions that meet their needs.
  • Learn individual patient needs and document them as necessary in EPIC.
  • Establish positive relationships with patients by demonstrating knowledge of their history, compassion, and responding to their needs.
  • Handle stressful situations appropriately and deliver seamless patient service.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Participate in entity-wide initiatives for patient and employee safety.
  • Demonstrate awareness of patient and employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities.

Financial Management:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements and billing procedures.
  • Achieve proficiency in automated systems, such as EPIC and Navinet.
  • Validate patient demographic and insurance information and register new patients into EPIC.
  • Verify financial responsibility prior to service utilization and complete an accurate financial interview at registration.
