Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Information Systems Specialist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare IT team, you will be responsible for the development, upgrade, and support of clinical information systems.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system.
  • Facilitate decisions and work efforts that affect applications and patient care practices.
  • Participate in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to end-users.
Requirements
  • Current certification in Epic ASAP or EpicCare Inpatient applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing and supporting Epic in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.
  • Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for problem resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project coordination and management experience.
  • Working knowledge of HL7 interface/integration.
  • Experience supporting additional Epic or third-party applications.
