Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled candidates for the role of CAD Drafting Specialist. This position involves utilizing AutoCAD to produce detailed drawings under the guidance of structural engineers and/or the CAD manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop modification drawings for telecommunications structures, including self-supporting towers, guyed towers, and monopoles. These drawings typically encompass tower profiles, assembly drawings, fabrication details, and bills of materials.
  • Create modification drawings for existing foundations.
  • Prepare drawings to address structural and maintenance concerns identified in tower inspection reports.
  • Generate or adjust tower profiles, site plans, and collocation drawings for the installation of additional carrier equipment on telecommunications structures.
  • Maintain an organized history of tower drawings using the established site folder structure.
  • Review drawings produced by others as needed.
  • Follow quality control procedures established by TES.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with steel structures, including angles, channels, pipes, and bolts.
  • Basic experience with rebar and concrete.
  • Proficient in software applications, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with functional groups and engineers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present ideas clearly.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to complete tasks accurately.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate degree or certificate in AutoCAD preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience with AutoCAD, version 2010 or higher preferred.
  • Experience with telecommunications tower structures is advantageous.
