Job Summary:

The Senior CAD/Drafting Specialist is a seasoned professional responsible for creating and editing 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. This role requires a strong understanding of industry and Stryker standards, as well as the ability to advise on best-practices. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Design Team to design, detail, and resolve component and assembly issues, creating and maintaining 2D drawings, 3D models, and templates, and interpreting Design Engineer design inputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Design Team to design, detail, and resolve component and assembly issues using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, and templates using SolidWorks.
  • Interpret Design Engineer design inputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry and Stryker standards.
  • Work with engineers to verify the accuracy of all CAD engineering models, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Independently conduct tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure proper assembly and performance.
  • Transfer legacy CAD data from Agile PLM to SolidWorks PDM, updating legacy data to current standards.
  • Operate and maintain in-house tools such as 3D printers and scanners to support the Design Team.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years CAD modeling, assembly, drawing creation, and PDM experience in the SolidWorks environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in drafting/CAD technology or equivalent.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional (GDTP) certification.
  • CSWP/CSWE Certification.
