Position Overview:The Project Engineer at Overaa Construction is an integral member of the Project Team, assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in various aspects of project planning, management, and execution. Key responsibilities encompass preconstruction activities, scheduling, estimating, cost management, documentation oversight, jobsite productivity, and fostering positive client relationships. Project Engineers are vital to the successful completion of projects, reflecting Overaa's core values and corporate ethos.
- Reports directly to Project Manager(s).
- Assists the Project Superintendent with on-site tasks.
- May operate from a project field office or the main office.
- Encourages positive relationships with stakeholders.
Project Engineers at Overaa Construction handle document management, oversee claims and change orders, facilitate project start-up planning and scheduling, conduct project meetings, manage project closeout, and support project administration while assisting with project acquisition efforts.
- Facilitates document control by coordinating and expediting information flow.
- Oversees the management of Claims and Change Orders.
- Contributes to Project Start-up, Planning, and Scheduling.
- Supports and participates in Project Meetings.
- Manages and/or assists with Project Closeout processes.
- Handles various Project administration duties.
- May assist with tasks related to Project Acquisition.
Key competencies for the Project Engineer position include exceptional communication, time management, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive under pressure while maintaining high energy levels. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Project Management Software, Scheduling Software, and tools such as Bluebeam, Adobe, Revit, or Navisworks.
Compensation:The expected salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $110,000 annually, exclusive of bonuses or additional benefits. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
