The Role


As a Flexible Administrative Support Specialist (internally known as Flex Member Support Specialist), you will play a crucial role in our office, focusing on our Senior Health member demographic (ages 65+). Your ability to connect with individuals and your commitment to service will make you an ambassador for our patients.

You will work to eliminate barriers to care, ensuring a remarkable in-office experience for our patients.

As the steward of the office environment, you will maintain the aesthetic and atmosphere of the lobby, aligning with the One Medical brand.

Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for patient feedback and provide support as needed to the Leads, Office Manager, or in-office providers.

Our Flex Member Support Specialists serve multiple locations within a market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize exceptional C-I-CARE principles in all patient interactions to ensure a seamless and positive in-office experience, including patient intake, same-day scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
  • Manage front desk operations such as check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and various administrative tasks.
  • Assist senior patients with administrative duties, including answering calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation.
  • Engage in team development through participation in team meetings, problem-solving sessions, and supporting in-office providers with various requests.
  • Become proficient in our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to facilitate communication and daily tasks.
  • Perform daily office maintenance tasks, ensuring the environment is welcoming and organized for both patients and staff.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer or patient-facing roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within diverse, feedback-oriented teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and proactively address challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including typing and navigating multiple software systems.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position is $18.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule.

This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday, with a focus on our Senior Health member population.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily sedentary work, with occasional exertion of up to ten pounds of force.

Sedentary tasks typically involve sitting most of the time, with brief periods of walking or standing.
