Position Overview

Account Executive
We are in search of a skilled Account Executive to join our sales team in Atlanta. This role involves direct reporting to the Director of Sales for the Atlanta office and encompasses the full sales cycle, from client acquisition to detailed needs analysis, estimate submission, order procurement, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture a qualified client base through various marketing strategies, including direct mail, referrals, advertising, trade shows, cold calling, and other promotional activities.
  • Identify and assess customer needs to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in alignment with company policies.
  • Process and submit service orders efficiently.
  • Develop a deep understanding of estimating processes.
  • Prepare estimates for project management, including planning, organizing, scheduling, vendor selection, and cost analysis.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to discuss estimates and resolve any issues.
  • Analyze project documentation to assist in the preparation of time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor quality control and gather feedback from Project Managers and clients.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Directors to clarify contract plan requirements.
  • Participate in training and development of sales staff.
  • Engage actively in professional organizations and contribute to industry councils.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sales goals and business development plans in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing and new product services.
  • Gather intelligence on competitor activities.
  • Assist in the collection of overdue accounts.
  • Foster positive working relationships with field and administrative teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Construction Management.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in direct sales, excluding telemarketing or inside sales.
  • Proficient in reading and estimating from blueprints.
  • Experience in estimating within a paving, landscaping, or construction environment is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical and geometric skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
