Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Twist Bioscience. As a key member of our Help Desk team, you will be responsible for providing world-class IT support to our global employees, ensuring their technical needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent support to employees in our Bay Area offices, including San Francisco and South San Francisco, requiring travel to both locations.
  • Document all issues and requests accurately in our IT ticketing system, ensuring seamless communication with internal customers.
  • Monitor and triage incoming tickets, providing timely responses and updates to customers, and troubleshooting issues or fulfilling requests.
  • Support multiple Twist locations, providing remote support and participating in a rotation to provide after-hours/weekend on-call coverage.
  • Assist with Major Incidents, including sending employee communications, and lead or participate in projects as needed.
  • Manage and administer client assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, adhering to service-level agreements.
Requirements
  • 5-9 years of hands-on IT Helpdesk & Desktop experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical end-users.
  • High energy and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft and Apple operating systems, desktop/laptop deployment and imaging solutions, G-Suite, and MS Office.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience supporting mobile devices in a corporate setting.
  • Previous experience with a mid-sized international company, with self-sufficient, self-managed, and self-motivated skills.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management and ITIL concepts and processes.
