Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Cell/Department Activities: Oversee and guide cell/department activities to ensure production of high-quality products safely, on time, and within budget; drive and manage change within the plant.
  • Identify and Resolve Production Challenges: Address daily production issues, implement solutions to prevent recurrence, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Serve as a Liaison: Act as a bridge between associates and management, providing support during changes and ensuring effective communication.
  • Develop and Monitor Standardized Work: Assist in creating and tracking standardized work processes for direct reports; adhere to Leader Standard Work for your position.
  • Audit Key Areas: Conduct audits or assign audit duties for key result areas such as quality, safety, and scrap.
  • Conduct Daily Meetings: Hold daily cell meetings to set expectations and align the team for the day's objectives.
  • Monitor Production Status: Track production status hourly, identify and address bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to meet daily goals.
  • Oversee Continuous Flow and Materials Delivery: Manage continuous flow and materials delivery systems; collaborate with associates to drive process improvements.
  • Develop Associate Skills: Focus on developing associates to enhance their skills and strengthen the team.
  • Review Production Schedules: Analyze production schedules and estimate associate hours required for job completion.
  • Interpret Specifications and Delegate Duties: Translate job specifications and orders for associates, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Recommend Improvements: Suggest measures to enhance production efficiency, equipment performance, product quality, and working conditions.
  • Enforce Safety Rules: Initiate and recommend plans to motivate the team and enforce safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role within a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
