About the Job

Hoskinson Contracting is a leading contracting firm in Gillette, WY, offering a wide range of services including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more. We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, install, and maintain electrical systems, including wires, plugs, and panelboards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine installation procedures and materials required.
  • Test electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to identify issues and ensure safety.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, roadside poles, and commercial properties.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate safely.
  • Install new equipment or building services, such as electrical circuits, plumbing, boilers, and HVAC controls.
  • Manage, track, and organize inventory of tools and parts.
  • May drive company vehicles and operate groundskeeping equipment as required.
  • Ensure systems meet company standards and are installed per all electrical and local building codes.
  • Perform quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Transport materials and equipment to job sites as required.
  • Prepare estimates of materials, equipment, and labor required for assignments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair failed electrical equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures required at job sites.
  • Work simultaneously with other contractors to complete projects in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Must meet all WY licensing requirements for Journeyman Electrician.
  • Must have experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
  • OSHA Certified.
  • Previous work with multi-million-dollar, commercial-scale construction projects.
  • Previous work with hospitals or healthcare projects is a bonus, but not required.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Able to travel as required.
