Job Description

At Thunder Basin, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy equipment, including mobile mining equipment, draglines, shovels, and drills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and welding tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, shovels, draglines, dozers, graders, haul trucks, and support equipment.
  • Conduct major and minor maintenance on light vehicles and lube trucks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in a team environment and rotating shifts.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; formal education or training in the maintenance and/or electrical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in general light vehicle, heavy maintenance work, and/or relevant electrical work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow, and wind.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal education or training in the maintenance and/or electrical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in general light vehicle, heavy maintenance work, and/or relevant electrical work.
