Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician to lead electrical projects, oversee installations, and ensure compliance with all electrical codes and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, organize, and oversee electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to determine project specifications and requirements.
  • Installation and Maintenance:
    • Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and generators.
    • Ensure all electrical installations are completed in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices, providing training on techniques, safety practices, and code compliance.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to enhance team skills and productivity.
  • Code Compliance:
    • Stay current with changes to electrical codes and safety regulations, ensuring all work meets or exceeds standards.
    • Conduct inspections and assessments of electrical systems to identify issues and ensure compliance.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
    • Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions, responding promptly to service calls and emergencies.
    • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical problems.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project plans, schematics, and compliance documentation.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Communicate effectively with clients to assess their needs, provide estimates, and explain technical information in an understandable manner.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality workmanship and addressing concerns promptly.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the electrical field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Licensing: Valid Master Electrician license, or ability to obtain.
  • Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of electrical theory, systems, and components.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
    • Familiarity with electrical tools, testing equipment, and safety procedures.
  • OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass company insurance requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Work Environment
  • The role may involve working in various settings, including residential, and commercial, environments.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.
