At Riverhills Neuroscience, we are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Coder to join our team. As a Medical Coder at Riverhills Neuroscience, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our billing processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems and be proficient in medical terminology and anatomical knowledge. They should also have a strong understanding of HIPAA confidentiality and privacy regulations.

We offer a competitive salary of $62,400 - $78,600 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401k with Profit Sharing and 4% Company Match, Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability Insurance, and Paid Holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly code physician visits/encounters (CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10) based on supportive chart documentation.
  • Review hospital, office, and procedure operative/progress notes and charges for compliance and accuracy.
  • Performing charge entry/data entry into a computerized billing management system.
  • Researching and obtaining necessary documentation/information from provider/office to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding and charge entry.
  • Assisting with research for denied claims & appeals; medical coverage policy/medical necessity.
