Medical Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Specialist to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of medical billing operations and be able to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
- This role involves reviewing and processing medical claims for accuracy and completeness, as well as collaborating with healthcare providers to gather essential documentation.
- You will also be responsible for communicating with insurance companies to resolve billing and payment issues, submitting timely and accurate claims, and maintaining meticulous records of billing and payment activities.
- In addition, you will investigate and resolve billing disputes and claim denials, ensuring seamless operations.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- No less than 5 years of experience in medical billing, specifically physician billing.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding, and Medicare guidelines.
- Proficiency in Epic, Passport Insurance Verification, and Microsoft Office (365).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with providers and insurers.
- A keen eye for detail, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with specialty billing and hospice claims is preferred.
