Senior Procurement Specialist

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our client's Procurement team. Our client is a global manufacturer with a strong culture and excellent benefits.
The Senior Buyer will play a key role in the procurement process, supporting the purchase of raw materials and waste commodities for manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in the waste management industry and a strong understanding of technical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure raw materials and waste commodities from domestic and foreign vendors.
- Monitor and administer import and export processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate material transportation planning and strategy with freight and carrier vendors.
- Manage PFR (Purchase for Resale) processes and administration.
- Oversee material distribution and inventory control.
- Administer Quality Management System with applicable vendors.
- Track invoicing accuracy and participate in audits.
- Generate market intelligence data and trends for stakeholder review.
- Prepare reporting and analyze data related to inventory allocation, current volume, and pricing metrics.
- Develop new strategies and partnerships to effectively compete for material volume acquisition.
- Travel to vendors and sites as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain.
- Experience purchasing waste commodities and understanding of technical processes.
- Must come from the waste management industry.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving capability and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to vendors and manufacturing sites on a quarterly basis.
Preferred:
- Logistics, Procurement, or Supply Chain experience.
- SAP Knowledge.
- PowerPoint skills.
- Project Management Training.
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish a plus.
