Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at The Newbury Boston, a luxury hotel in the heart of Boston's Back Bay. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items for our guests, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and hotel standards.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation for banquets and special events.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Culinary experience required, with knowledge of cooking techniques and menu preparation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
