Job Description

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health services to diverse communities. We are seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee the performance of medical assistants and licensed practical nurses in our Vancouver clinics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient flow, performing procedures as needed, and assisting with administrative duties. They will also work closely with the Nurse Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the clinics.

The ideal candidate will have over a year of ambulatory and supervisory experience, as well as a working knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology and procedures. They will possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and be able to provide patient education and demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall function of the pod
  • Assist with patient acute illness screening
  • Perform procedures as needed
  • Assist with administrative duties
  • Work closely with the Nurse Manager

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant with the State of Washington
  • Over a year of ambulatory and supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology and procedures
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Patient education and demonstration of knowledge and skills
